“Since I like to cook my currys from scratch I was doubtful about gurkha fine foods sauces at first but I decided to have a go at Kukhra, Masu curry sauces. I was surprised by the results as it tasted much better than I expected. For stronger taste I would suggest to fry finely chopped onion (one onion for 1 kg chicken) in oil till light brown then add chicken pieces and stir fry for 10 minutes before adding the sauce for simmer. For lamb I would suggest fry chopped onions (also small pieces of chopped garlic and ginger if you may) until light brown then add lamb pieces and stir fry for about 20 minutes before adding sauce to simmer slowly. Since these sauces are relatively mild you may add slitted green chillies during the last stages of stir frying or with the curry sauce. Mango and Moola achar are commendable. I would have been happier if the prices of these sauces and achars would have been a bit lower.” Rajneesh Thapa, Leicestershire.
